SAMPLE INFO AND REGULATIONS
FROM A FESTIVAL INVITATION

As always, we are proud to host some of the finest music to be found anywhere at our Festivals!  These regional acts agree to perfrom (often repeatedly) for a fraction of their usual rates.  Please help support the musicians by purchasing their merchandise & signing their mailing lists, so they want to come back!

**Got Stagecraft Skills?  We REALLY need your help!
Email us at info@sharethetimes.org**

You MUST have an invitation to come.  Registration forms on file at the Greeters Booth or in your hand, already filled out, please.  Do not duplicate your registration form or this invitation.  You’ve been sent a second invitation that you can give to 2 other people.  Print your name on their registration form.  They are your guests–you should be proud to invite them.  Verbal invitation will NOT be honored.

The festival is an entirely volunteer effort, sponsored by Sandy Hollow Arts and Recreation for the Environment, Inc., a non-profit organization.  The Festival is not just a party–and it is NOT a public event–it is a private, invitation-only gathering sponsored by S.H.A.R.E. to remind us to appreciate our precious and fragile planet, and the raise money for worthy environmental causes, as well as to have fun.  It is a focal point in the lives of scores of people from near and far through which we have become a community & extended family.

SHARE does not tolerate consumption of alcohol by minors. No one under the age of 21 is permitted to attend the festival unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

**HERE’S THE DEAL**

Minors under the age of 18 are free and must
be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

VENDING = billed per 100 sq. ft. space or
BLANKET VENDING available. More info below…

 ** VOLUNTEER SCHOLARSHIPS**

We do offer a program for the financially challenged:
Free admission in exchange for your *significant* contribution to the cause.  To qualify you MUST email us at info@sharethetimes.org AT LEAST TWO WORKING WEEKENDS PRIOR TO THE FESTIVAL!!!***

You will be expected to accept and fulfill various co-op work shifts during the weekend — such as parking & greeting, trash & potty patrol, etc.  One strike, yer out!

NO LITTERING     NO LAZINESS     NO LITTERING

PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT – That means EVERYTHING.  We do NOT provide on-site trash collection or recycling, and we expect & insist that you be responsible for your own mess.  Glass bottles have been both a nuisance & a danger, so plan to use a cup or mug in their place, and leave the glass in your cooler & recycle bag!!

NO EXCEPTIONS     NO EXCUSES     NO KIDDING

MORE INFO

Howdy folks!!  Here we go again, at the ol’ Park 🙂  Those of you who have been there before know what a wonderful venue this is for us — and now we have showers!!  There’s a modern kitchen building, with attached picnic pavilion…a LARGE main stage pavilion, plus a second “Living room – acoustic jam” space… LOTS of parking, camping & vending area, some with electric hookup ($10 extra, NO LOUD MUSIC!!)  There’s also a kids’ playground, & a baseball diamond/sport field, so a game of softball and/or some camp games are DEFINITELY in order!!  We are deliberately starting music later on Saturday to take advantage of these things along with workshops & the like…  Also, we always have Festival CDS, SHARE mugs & t-shirts available so support SHARE and check ’em out when you get there!

**CAMP KITCHEN**

We have a great kitchen and staff, but always need more help (esp. clean-up on Sunday) and contributions of bulk food, etc (email info@sharethetimes.org)

We run a Rainbow-style VEGGIE kitchen — please note if dishes are Vegan or Dairy — unsure??  Ask! 🙂

**COUNCIL CIRCLES**

Friday and Saturday: 1130a @ the Kitchen: please attend and contribute!  This is where we have an opportunity to get everyone on site up to speed with the day’s plans, as well as wake up together over some coffee & food 🙂

VEHICLE CAMPING–There will be a designated area for vehicle camping.  Please check in before parking vehicle.  *NEVER* leave vehicles running!

QUIET CAMPING–There will be a designated area for quiet camping.  If interested, please ask to be directed there when you check-in.

ALCOHOL is permitted, but NOT the container it comes in — soft drinks, too.  Pour your beverages into a mug, and keep ALL bottles and cans at YOUR campsite–you are expected to pack out all you bring in!!

SHARE GOODIES–Speaking of which, we do sell Festival CDs, SHARE mugs, T-shirts & more!!! Check ’em out!

DOGS?  NO DOGS!!! —There is a family kennel nearby — email info@sharethetimes.org for more info.

FIRES–The Park has small fire rings available for campsite fires, and a larger Fire Circle for the drummers 🙂  Firewood detail, anyone??

FOOD & WATER— While there will be a fully functioning kitchen onsite, you should plan to bring some food to share, any special dietary needs, and an ADEQUATE supply of DRINKING WATER!!

**KIDVILLE**

Kidville is a Co-op effort , not a drop-off service — we need YOUR help with a variety of games and projects dedicated to our next generation — from painting (bring grubby clothes) to the Saturday Parade 🙂 (email info@sharethetimes.org)

**VENDORS**

If you want to vend, you must email info@sharethetimes.org.  There are fees to set up space, including canopies and blankets. Contact us for current info.

**LIVE MUSIC ONLY**

NO BOOM BOXES OR VEHICLE STEREOS
Canned music is sterile, commercial, and high in sodium and cholesterol.  After the stage shuts down it is time for acoustic music and drumming.  Quiet mornings–be courteous to sleepy heads!  zzzzzzz…..

****VOLUNTEERing 101****

It’s pretty simply, really – we need YOU to help make these Festivals happen: from the early set-up to the final load out, and everything in between!!

If you see something that needs to be done, DO IT and ask for help, if necessary.  Jump in when you see someone else doing the same.  Take EVERYTHING you brought with you, and then some.  These things are expected of EVERYONE who attends.

ALL FESTIVAL GUESTS WHO ARRIVE ON THURSDAY ARE EXPECTED TO BE AVAILABLE TO HELP THE STAFF WHENEVER AND WHEREVER FOR THE LENGTH OF THEIR STAY — CONTRIBUTION MANDATORY. ONLY STAFF MEMBERS MAY STAY OVER SUNDAY NIGHT, SORRY!

YES?  IS THERE A QUESTION IN THE BACK?
Email us at
info@sharethetimes.org
